NitrosBase News: Ultra-fast analytic systems development method is designed using NitrosBase technologies

With the use of NitrosBase technology, Compile Group (www.compilesoft.ru)  – strategic partner of NitrosData in CIS –  has developed a method of building ultra-fast analytic systems.

In the analytic systems based on this method the operational time for queries varies from seconds to 3-5minutes instead of several hours when using a regular OLAP system.

Using NitrosBase technology software developers can create specialized analytic systems which allow to process complicated queries on ultra-large data amounts very quickly.

Compile Group experts have demonstrated a test trial of such a system in ROSNO-MS insurance company. The system has been tested on medical service data, collected during several years with an approximate amount of 200 GB data records on more than 700 million services delivered to more than 10 million patients.

The regular OLAP system required from 30 minutes to several hours to handle this data volume. The system developed by Compile Group demonstrated query process rate several thousand times higher on the same data. For example, a query which took 30 minutes on the regular OLAP System was performed within only 0.25 seconds on Gompile Group’s system.

The analytic systems built on NitrosBase technology not only increase analyst work efficiency greatly, they often appear to be the only tool for analyzing a very large data amounts.
